About the Firm

We are a well-established, highly profitable regional CPA firm specializing in international tax services , with a strong focus on supporting Japanese clients . Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join our expanding practice.

This role offers the flexibility to work fully remote from home , with preference for candidates located in Pacific or Mountain time zones .

About the Role

As a Tax Senior, you will work closely with partners on challenging engagements across a diverse range of clients. You will prepare and review complex tax returns, research and resolve tax issues, and play a key role in client service and planning. This position requires fluency in Japanese , along with strong technical tax expertise and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare federal and multi-state tax returns for corporations (C & S), partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, bankruptcies, and trusts/estates.
  • Research, analyze, and resolve complex tax and accounting issues.
  • Identify tax planning and consulting opportunities for clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, particularly with Japanese clients.
  • Support partners in delivering high-quality, timely tax services.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or Business Administration.
  • 2+ years of tax experience, preferably with a public accounting firm.
  • CPA license (or actively pursuing CPA licensure).
  • Fluency in Japanese (required).
  • Strong technical knowledge in federal and multi-state taxation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Self-directed, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to manage deadlines.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. permanently (no sponsorship available).
