Job Description

The Gathering Spot is looking to hire a Lifecycle Communications Coordinator within the Marketing Department, reporting to the Head of Marketing, to be responsible for member communications throughout the full member journey — from onboarding to retention and re-engagement.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute targeted lifecycle communications to members, including onboarding, engagement, renewal, and reactivation campaigns.

  • Draft and distribute communications regarding member events, club updates, and member benefits across multiple channels, including:

    • Email

    • Push Notifications

    • Text Messaging

  • Manage and segment member email lists to ensure relevant, personalized communication at each stage of the member experience.

  • Partner with Membership, Operations, and Marketing teams to ensure clear, consistent, and timely communication to members.

  • Collaborate with the Member Events team to monitor event attendance and engagement trends, optimizing communications accordingly.

  • Utilize data insights and engagement metrics to refine content, timing, and targeting for ongoing improvement.

  • Ideate and create local promotions and campaigns to attract new members and deepen engagement with existing members.

  • Support automation setup and testing for recurring member touchpoints (e.g., onboarding series, event reminders, renewal notices).

Job Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing timely, error-free work.

  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo, or similar).

  • Familiarity with audience segmentation, A/B testing, and engagement analytics.

  • Design skills using tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, or Canva are a plus.

  • Hands-on experience with web content management tools, such as WordPress.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Passion for continuous improvement and a data-informed approach to communication.

  • Undergraduate degree preferred but not required.

  • Flexibility, including availability for occasional weekend and evening work.
