Manufacturing Engineer | Hudsonville, MI

Salary Range: $71,000 - $110,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Hudsonville seeking Manufacturing Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
• Design, procure, and qualify production tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production line issues and equipment failures.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Collaborate with R&D and NPI teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and processes.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
• Analyze production data to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
• Proficiency with CAD software for tooling, fixture, and process layout design.
• Hands-on experience with various manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, assembly, automation, welding).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for identifying and resolving production inefficiencies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Experience with advanced automation, robotics, or additive manufacturing technologies
• Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, SQL) for data analysis or process automation
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
