Queen’s Price Chopper – Meat Cutter Position

Full-Time

The Meat Cutter is responsible for cutting and preparing all varieties and cuts of meat, including the safe operation of tools. The Meat Cutter is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Meat Cutters will need to know the varieties of meats and cuts and help customers identify the best selections.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Read cutting lists.
• Maintain meat cases.
• Cuts all primal to specific techniques.
• Grinds meats.
• Fills cases/stock meat.
• Rotates product properly.
• Assists Meat Manager with inventory.
• Operates wrapping scale and other machinery in Meat Department.
• Receives and processes meat shipment correctly and assists customers with request and information.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, cases work area and sales floor
• Works with company programs, policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements :

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent preferred.
• Prior work experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
