Job Description

Job Details:

Production Planner

Be the brain behind the build.

If you love seeing the full picture—demand coming in, production humming, customers happy—this role puts you right in the driver’s seat. As a Production Supply Planner , you’ll own the rhythm of production for a key business unit, turning forecasts into executable plans and chaos into clean schedules.

This is a hands-on, high-visibility role where your decisions directly impact customer delivery, inventory health, and operational efficiency. You won’t sit in a silo—you’ll collaborate daily with Manufacturing, Procurement, Customer Service, Quality, Sales, and Supply Chain to keep products flowing and customers satisfied.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • You own the master production schedule —not just maintaining it, but actively improving how the business runs

  • You’re the connector between demand, materials, and capacity

  • Your work directly influences customer service levels, inventory strategy, and operational efficiency

  • Fast-paced, problem-solving environment where smart planning makes a visible impact

  • Ideal for someone who thrives on data, collaboration, and real-world execution

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build and manage production schedules using MRP and ERP tools

  • Identify material needs, shortages, and supply risks before they become problems

  • Partner with Manufacturing to balance capacity, efficiency, and demand

  • Coordinate daily, weekly, and long-term planning across cross-functional teams

  • Work closely with Procurement, subcontractors, and external partners to ensure materials are ready when needed

  • Respond to demand changes, prioritize production, and minimize out-of-stocks

  • Support product launches, promotions, and transitions with proactive planning

  • Track KPIs, analyze performance vs. plan, and recommend corrective actions

  • Release, manage, and close production orders while maintaining accurate planning parameters

What Success Looks Like

  • Customers get what they need, when they need it

  • Production runs smoothly within capacity and material constraints

  • Inventory is balanced—not bloated, not bare

  • Cross-functional teams trust your numbers and your judgment

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 3+ years of experience in a CPG manufacturing environment

  • Strong hands-on experience with MRP, ERP systems, and BOMs

  • Advanced Excel skills—you’re comfortable living in data

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized

  • Confident communicator who works well across teams

  • Someone who enjoys solving problems before they hit the shop floor

What’s In It for You

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • Free life and disability insurance

  • 401(k) with company match and annual discretionary contribution

  • Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time

  • Paid parental leave

  • Education assistance for degrees and certifications

  • Employee discounts, wellness perks, and on-demand pay

  • Cash referral bonuses

  • Access to thousands of free professional development courses
