As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Asearis’ needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems as we continue to push technology forward.

Essential Functions

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
• Write and debug code.
• Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders.
• Research available technologies and make recommendations.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Act as escalation point for customer issues that cannot be resolved by support.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development including a combination of C, C++, Objective C, and Swift.
• Experience with developing for Mac OSX.
• 3 years of experience developing, testing, maintaining, or launching software products on the MacOS platform.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience interacting with and integrating with cloud services including AWS/GCP storage services.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and services.
• Experience taking conceptual ideas and turning them into functioning products.
• Experience working in a startup environment.
• Located in or near Los Angeles, CA.
• Ability to work with remote teams in the US and Europe.
• Ability to work with English and Spanish speakers.
• Excellent capability in cross team collaboration.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in an office environment and to be present in the office daily during business hours.
• Must be able to cope effectively with rapidly changing expectations and priorities.
