Job Title: Staff Accountant

Compensation: $28 - $30 / Hour

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the recording of incoming revenue, ensuring accurate preparation of deposits and journal entries.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
• Prepare and post journal entries to support ongoing financial activity.
• Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership review.
• Assist in month-end closing processes and preparation of financial statements.
• Provide analysis and research to resolve financial inquiries from staff or stakeholders.
• Support external audits and ensure timely responses to auditor requests.
• Act as a financial resource for designated departments and projects, guiding budgets, expenditures, and reporting.
• Offer backup support for accounts payable functions and credit card reconciliations when necessary.
• Partner with Human Resources to ensure employee payroll records remain current and accurate.
• Review and process payroll on a semi-monthly basis.
• Distribute year-end tax forms and assist with payroll-related audits.
• Contribute to compliance efforts, including worker’s compensation reporting and other required filings.
