G.A. Johnson Construction is looking for a qualified Project Manager/Estimator. $70-$120K per year

G.A. Johnson Construction, a well established Construction Management and Design Build company is seeking an Experienced commercial construction Project Manager/Estimator. Successful candidate must have excellent construction knowledge of project management and estimating materials and systems, and a 10 year history of successful performance in a similar position. Projects would include Schools, Detention Facilities, state and local government building projects, office, industrial and manufacturing facilities, and interior remodeling.

We are a professional building service company providing Design/Build, Construction Management, and General Contracting around South Dakota and the upper Midwest.

Full Time M-F: Benefits after 90 days include health/dental/vision insurance, paid holidays and vacation, 401K

Duties & Responsibilities

• Managing Construction Management Projects CMAR, proposals, contracts
• Estimating materials on projects for customer quotes
  • Hard Bid and Conceptual Estimating
• Providing excellent customer service
• Setting appointments with potential customers, preparing quotes on projects and selling project to contacts.
• Reviews all shop drawings prior to approval, issues RFI’s as needed and expedites shop drawing approvals.
• Efficient project scheduling
• Contract Management

Requirements

• Knowledge of current building codes for design of building elements
• Previous estimating experience in the steel or metal buildings industry and/or wood building components
• Ability to contribute effectively in a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
• Strong ability to analyze and strategically plan projects
• Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Word and Excel, Planswift/BlueBeam, Procore, Submittal Exchange
• Willingness and means to travel and a valid driver’s license are required

Preferred Qualifications

4 Year Construction Management or Civil Engineering Degree
10 years Commercial Construction Estimating/Project Management of projects $1-40 Million
Osha 30
Relocation Assistance Available
