Job Description

Who are we?

We at Movemedical make the world’s best software solution for medical device companies.

We’re hiring our first Senior UX/UI Designer to lead the design of our enterprise web and mobile applications. This is a high-impact role where you’ll shape the user experience of products used by thousands of professionals in the medical device industry. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and end users to create elegant, functional, and scalable designs.

We hire smart, tenacious people and give them the mentorship and opportunities they need to grow as team members and leaders. Our development process is built for remote teams and facilitates communication and trust. As a small company with big ambitions, we see and recognize the impact of every person on our team.

We are team-oriented and want each other to be successful; we pull together to accomplish our goals. Glassdoor gives us a 4.3/5.0 and Inc. put us on its Best Places to Work Editor's List in 2019 .

Who are you?

You're someone who has designed and shipped B2B SaaS products across both web and mobile platforms. You’re passionate about making complex workflows intuitive and user-friendly. You aren’t afraid to walk into a messy design system and are excited by the opportunity to fix, simplify, and modernize it.

You can juggle multiple priorities, deliver on time, and adapt quickly to feedback, even when it’s coming from senior stakeholders. You listen actively, think clearly, and communicate with precision.

You’re pragmatic, iterative, humble, and curious, especially about using new tools (like AI) to work smarter. You’re not looking for a blank canvas; you want a real challenge where your impact will be immediately felt.

What will you do?

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for both mobile (iOS and Android) and web applications.

  • Conduct user research and usability testing to uncover user needs and validate design decisions.

  • Translate complex workflows into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs using modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch).

  • Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers in an agile environment to iterate quickly and deliver on roadmap commitments.

  • Contribute to and help evolve our design system and UI standards.

  • Organize and present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and incorporate feedback constructively in weekly Design Reviews. &nbsp

  • Advocate for the user while balancing business and technical constraints.

What skills and experience do we expect you to have?

  • 8+ years of professional experience designing digital products, with a strong portfolio of shipped B2B applications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or related field.

  • Proven experience designing for both mobile (iOS and Android) and responsive web platforms.

  • Hands-on experience conducting user interviews, usability testing, and synthesizing insights into actionable design improvements.

  • Deep experience working in agile teams alongside product managers and engineers.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to clearly articulate design decisions and rationale.

  • Open-minded, flexible, and receptive to feedback from cross-functional teams.

  • Highly organized with a strong bias for action and accountability to deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Figma (preferred), Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools like InVision or Axure.

  • As part of the recruiting process, candidates will be required to complete a small UX project and present it to a panel of decision makers.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience designing enterprise, multilingual SaaS products.

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.

  • Experience contributing to or managing a design system.

  • Basic understanding of front-end development (HTML/CSS/JS) to facilitate better collaboration with engineers.

  • Experience using AI-powered design tools (e.g., Figma AI, Uizard, Adobe Firefly) to accelerate workflows and enhance creativity

  • Interest in exploring and applying AI technologies to improve user research, prototyping, and interface design.

What character traits do we value?

  • Hungry - we eagerly own problems and take on new challenges without being asked

  • Humble - we emphasize the team over self and seek collective success over individual status

  • Strong - we are self-aware, seek and accept feedback, and can engage in crucial conversations

Benefits and Perks

  • Amazing team - everyone at Movemedical is helpful and wants you to be successful

  • Grow with the company - as a member of a small, fast-growing startup, you will have many opportunities to level-up in your career

  • Opportunity to shape the design culture and processes from the ground up.

  • Flexible PTO

  • Monthly snack stipend

  • Work from home

  • Comprehensive benefits package

  • 401k matching

At Movemedical, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The salary range is expected to be $150,000-$170,000 USD for this position and will vary based on your qualifications and job-related experience level.

NOTE: Please be aware that while this position offers the flexibility of remote work, we are only considering applications from candidates who are located in the United States.
